Matthew Rader was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic
Leukemia on Friday the 13th Nov 2009. He had not been
feeling well for a short time prior to this day. He was at
wrestling practice and was not able to do his normal
workout. He was taken to his regular doctor that same day.
The doctor checked Matt out and ran a blood test. The news
was not good. The doctor told his father that Matt was in
trouble. They got Matt up to the University of Madison that
same day and had their diagnosis. Yes, it is Leukemia.
Matt has already had 2 chemo treatments and is responding
well. It is a long hard road ahead of Matt and his family.
His course of treatment is a very aggressive one, he will be
extremely susceptible to infections and he will be traveling
back and forth to Madison to receive his treatments. His
treatment plan will last for 3 1/2 years. Please send your
love and prayers to help support them in their time of need.
